Dustbin Baby & Illustrated Mum
This is an excellent book but it is highly emotional. It is not written for younger readers but more for early secondary school pupils. As an adult reading it I was enthralled by the story line and how well it was written. However, I am continually surprised to see this story recommended as reading material for primary school age children. A superb book for older readers which really makes you think and have a clearer understanding of other peoples' lives.
