About this book
In Ottoline and the Yellow Cat, Chris Riddell's original and witty illustrations perfectly complement tales of his curious heroine Ottoline Brown. A daring mistress of disguise, Ottoline loves to dabble in a spot of detective work where possible and, together with her hairy sidekick Mr Munroe, she finds herself caught up in a mysterious dog-napping scam. Newly independent readers aged 7+ will love this book. Fans of Ottoline may also enjoy Judy Moody Was in a Mood, by Megan McDonald.
Red House Readers say...
Ottoline is a girl and she lives on the twenty-fourth floor of the Pepperpot Building, 3rd Street, Big City with her hairy friend, Mr Munroe, who used to live in a bog in Norway. She and Mr Munroe like solving puzzles. Here are some of the puzzles they have to solve in this book. What happens when lapdogs go missing? Who is stealing Ottoline's neighbours' laundry? Why is a cat so fond of dogs? One every page there are wonderful pictures, with lots of details and clues. This book is really funny and I enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to girls and boys who like to solve mysteries.
