I've read this book at school, now I'm reading it at home because I love it! It's fab!!! I can't put into words how brill this book is! It's the first book I take out of the library! :)

My 9 year old son loved this book. It is interesting for adults to read as well and provides a lot of discussion points. A fantastic modern book.

My son recommended this after I bought it for him. I thought it was a wonderful, original story which kept me turning the pages.

Holes is a story about an unlucky boy named Stanley. When Stanley gets accused of a crime he didn't commit, he gets sent to Camp Green Lake but this isn't your usual summer camp. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy an interesting story line.

Holes is about an extremely unlucky boy called Stanley Yelnats. His family had always been under a curse, all because of his so-called 'no-good-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather'. Stanley had been accused of stealing and he was sent to a 'detention centre' where he was made to work very hard every day. There he met another boy, Zero, and they become very good friends. Stanley is a hero in this story, because he and Zero stopped the curse from this generation onwards.

I love this book especially the part when they jump back into the past of when Stanley's great-great-grandfather started the curse. Holes is an extremely exciting book about friendship and cooperation.

For a book year 8's are forced to read at school, Holes is suprisingly good. It follows the story of Stanley Yelnats, a boy sent to a reformative camp after being convicted of stealing.

Unfortunately, reading books in school completely ruins them, so make sure you read it outside of school, because it really is brilliant.

This is the best book ever because i read it at school and now im reading it at home, it is the best book ever!
