Red House Readers say...
I got whisked away to the Land of Oz with Dorothy and quite enjoyed it.
The Wizard of Oz is a classic book about a young girl called Dorothy who thinks she is lost forever when a tornado whirls her and her dog Toto into the magical world of Oz. While she is in Oz she makes many friends but also an enemy, the Wicked Witch of the West. To get home Dorothy must go to the great Wizard of Oz, but he will not grant her wish unless she does him a favour. She must kill the Wicked Witch of the West! In this book you see Dorothy go through many adventures with her new friends, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, Woodman and the Cowardly Lion. I am not a big fan of classics but even I got whisked away to the Land of Oz with Dorothy and quite enjoyed it. I would give it three out of five and would definitely recommend it to people who enjoy reading classics.
