Jenna is a princess growing up in the kingdom of Scandia. Times should be wonderful as the kingdom is now enjoying peace after troubled times and Jenna is able to go to a good school. However, troubled times lie ahead and the population of Scandia is getting ever more unhappy. Jenna is being made a mockery of her fellow students. Her secret love Jonas starting a friendship with the girl she likes least, Ylva, is the final straw for Jenna and she runs away. By doing this she only plays into the hand of some nasty enemies of the state who kidnap her... . It is hard to believe that this is a fictional story, as it is so beautifully crafted and convincingly told. For everyone who enjoyed the Princess Diaries, this novel from the Hamburg-based author Kirsten Boie is surely a must!
