Red House Readers say...
Danny Baker is a normal sort of kid with a big ambition - he wants to be a record breaker. He thinks up all sorts of records that he reckons he can easily break due to his natural talents. For example, he collects his own bogey and has made it all into a ball measuring 5.3cm in diameter - surely that's a world record? He's jealous of his dad, who holds a real record for saving goals in a football match, so is desperate to break some records for himself (including that one)... whether it's for having the cheesiest feet, making the loudest bottom burp or having the spottiest bottom. Danny's story is a mixture of normal writing, letters between him and the world record judges, and notes to school and is really, really funny! This book is nuttier than a bag of peanuts and made me laugh out loud!
