If you've read one rainbow Fairies book you have, effectively, read them all. The stories are virtually identical with the same premise - 2 girls (Rachel and Lauren) have to help out the fairies from Fairyland because Jack Frost has stolen something from them - in this case musical instruments. However, knowing that, these are good books for little girls. They are ideal for reading on their own because the sentence structure is simple and there is no tricky vocabulary. I confess to struggling when I had to read them to my daughter though because, to an adult, they are rather dull. My 7 year old has now outgrown them but many of her peers still enjoy reading them and she certainly had a good 2 years of absolutely loving them (from around 4.5/5 till almost 7).
