About this book

Winner of the Red House Children's Book Award 2010 (Younger Children)

The heroic toddler in this hilarious and imaginative picture book wants to protest - if animals don't wear pants, then why should we? After all do piglets wear panties? Or puppies or bears? Do fox cubs wear boxers? Packed with hilarious animal characters and rollicking rumbustious rhymes, Jeanne Willis and Adam Stower's Bottom's Up will have little ones in stitches!

Red House Readers say...

A truly cheeky tale. Bottoms up! is an entertaining book about a group of children in protest against their parents making them wear clothes as they believe being nude isn't rude and they should be allowed to unclothe and bare all. The children question why they should be made to wear clothes and give some rather odd and laughable examples of piglets in panties, calves in bras and elephants in frilly knickers. The illustrations combine with the humorous text perfectly and are just hilarious and had Ebony giggling away to herself with a permanent smile on her face. It's silly and fun and would be enjoyed by most children although one not to share with great granny. We thought it was great. Thumbs up for Bottoms Up!

This is such a funny book about, well, bottoms! Down wit pants, briefs, bloomers, nappies, smalls, knickers and much more that shuffle, shimmy and swing. The campaign for bare bottoms starts here, if you can read it for laughing you'll love it!
