Theo's father died before he was born. James Lawson, his name was... Theo doesn't really know much about hime because his mother refuses to tell him anything more. Eventually though, she does come out with the truth, which shocks Theo and changes his image of a bravedad in camouflage uniform. And then he meets Rachel, who has more in common with him than he ever would have thought...Sophie McKenzie is already a well-known author and his book exceeds her previously set standards by far. The compelling and convincing plot kept me reading on and eager to find out more. The extraordinary and unique characters, whose thoughts cover many of the pages, make the book what it is. A truly remarkable novel.
