This board book version of the rhyming classic will captivate the attention of babies and toddlers from 1+. Another sure-fire favourite!

The Gruffalo's Child is the follow-up to the hugely popular modern classic, The Gruffalo. The Gruffalo's little child sets out on an adventure in the middle of a snowy winter's night and, like her father, is outwitted by the wily mouse. The clever use of language and the distinctive illustrations make this another sure-fire favourite. Milo really enjoyed reacquainting himself with all his favourite characters.

We love the book and it has become an everyday bedtime favourite

A great sequel to the famous 'The Gruffalo' by Julia Donaldson, it is again a hit. Set in 'the deep dark wood', this time the Gruffalo's child after hearing about the scary mouse decides to go in search of it. When she does she feels that the mouse is not as fearsome as everyone makes it out to be but she has a surprise in store. On the way to the mouse, she meets the owl, the snake and the fox who tell her that the mouse is quite a scary creature.

Great rhyming scheme, it is a book that can be enjoyed across all ages. My one-year-old loves listening to the story and so do my other children. The story flows well and it is one that keeps the pages turning. Superb illustrations! It complements 'The Gruffalo' totally. We love the book and it has become an everyday bedtime favourite.

"Another winner!"

What a fantastic sequel to The Gruffalo! In a twist on the original tale, the Gruffalo tells the story of the scary mouse to his child, who ventures out into the snow because the Big Bad Mouse doesn't really exist... does he? With brilliant artwork and a rhyming story that's so easy to read, this has become a firm favourite. In fact, Jacob keeps asking when they're going to write another story about the Gruffalo.

""Every child should own one""

This book is excellent. As soon as I saw it, I bought it knowing there was lots of fun ahead with the clever rhyming text and wonderful humour as already seen in the Gruffalo. The idea of reversing the roles in the Gruffalo's child is brilliant and the twist at the end is simple. My son loved this book, as he has all the other clever and funny books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Every child should own at least one.

AMAZING!!! I love this book myself and have used it along with the Gruffalo with my nursery classes. The kids love it and it is always their first choice. A great book for children learning reading from memory.
