I was hooked from the start
Cinder is a cyborg orphan living with her step-mother and two sisters in futuristic New Beijing. She's also the best mechanic around which leads to an encounter with handsome Prince Kai and an invitation to his grand ball. However, this story is no fairy tale and, as Cinder starts to uncover her mysterious Lunar past, she has to battle to save the prince she loves from the evil Lunar Queen. Marissa Meyer's book is highly original - combining sci-fi thriller with the traditional Cinderella fairy tale. I was hooked from the start - there's loads of excitement and, after the great cliffhanger, I can't wait for the next instalment in the Lunar Chronicles series!
