Toby is a young boy growing up in a tree whose parents are professors and a made an important discovery which could decide the future of the world they are living in. His family and him are sent into exile where they live a lonely life for years with Toby as the only contact with the outside world.
Until one day a letter came and changed their whole lives. Again this time maybe for a better life but then things go downhill and Toby's on the run.
Running and running from branch to branch with his life in danger, Toby discovers many things that he never thought were possible and rescued an old friend on the way. He seeks refuge with his friend not knowing who he could trust but one thing was for certain he was going to find his parents no matter how long it would take. As the time passed and winter drew nearer Toby started to prepare for the long winter months but he cannot waste time - his parents are in danger. Then snow covers the entrance to Toby's hideout and he is trapped inside. What will happen now?
Toby's parents are under arrest for plotting against the tree when really they are protecting it from people like the people who have arrested them. They have been put in prison and left there until their execution. What will happen to them and how did they end up like this? Read it to find out.
I loved this book and found it a very enjoy able read. 10/10
