Dear Zoo (BOARD)

My daughter just received this for her 1st birthday and she loves lifting the flaps, when she can get it away from her 4-year-old sister that is. The words are simple and repetitive so my eldest can "read" it to her sister too.

All three of my children (age 9, 6 & 2) have had this book read to them at some time, and all three have loved it. My youngest even does a grumpy camel face - brilliant! I have now brought a copy for Xmas, for my 7-month-old nephew who lives in Germany.

I might love this book more than my son. We first saw it at a friend's house. They had the paperback version. As my 7-month-old puts everything in his mouth, we ordered the board book. We've had this 2 months and he loves it being read to him. My husband and I add bits to it to describe the bits of the animal that's sticking out of whatever carrier the next animal arrives in, and add a bit of excitement for him. My only concern, and I had thought of giving it 4 stars for it, are the reveal flaps. If my son were to be left alone with it, I don't think they'd survive, however, as we read it together, it's safe enough so far and the book really does deserve 5 stars. I also like how certain phrases are repeated all through the book. Good learning technique.

My baby loves this book and always wants it read again and again. It was a fave of mine from childhood so I love it too! My son is now 8 months and enjoys lifting the flaps himself. Really fab book suitable from a young age.

My children loved this book in the Red House miniature format, and my grandson loved it from age 10 months in the board book format - much more suitable at his age. By careful if frequent reading we have managed to avoid any damage to the flaps. If a 9-18 month old were only to have one book, it should be this one.

My 1 year old daughter loves this book. She read this book all day, especially she loves the monkey part most. She makes monkey sounds! I would recommend it to anyone.

My son has loved this book since he first got it as a small toddler, it went everywhere with him! Fantastic. Thoroughly recommend it!

My 17 month son Jamie loves this book. He loves turning the flaps on each page and I have to read it at least 3 times a night. It is very sturdy and the flaps haven't bent or torn even with its constant use. He has now started to make the noises of each animal and loves it more each time we read it. I would recommend it to anyone.

My one year old daughter loves this book already. Always bring a smile to her face when I get from her book shelf. Started looking at it herself babbling to her and lifting the flaps.

This is the one book I can always guarantee my daughter will want to read, it's great.

My 4 year old son loves this book. He reads it to himself and likes to lift the pictures to see the animals hidden on each page.

My nine month old just adores this book, he sits quietly on my knee while we read it at least 5 times before he moves.

Another book which I can remember from my childhood. My five month old looks really intruiged what's gonna be under the flaps! Fabulous! -thanks Redhouse

This is a classic book for all ages, which now toddlers and babies can enjoy. Have fun reading together and lifting the flap to see what the zoo has delivered this time.
