Blood Red, Snow White is a completely original book loosely based on the life of Arthur Ransome. It is set in revolutionary Russia, where the Bolsheviks are taking control from the Tsar and his family. In stumbles a young author and journalist - Ransome - who will influence the lives, and decisions, of many. This book is heart wrenching, gripping and Very useful. It has told me so so much about the life of one of my favorite childhood authors and about a period of history I knew almost nothing about. Read It!!!!!!!!!!
